The S77202-2CF2-S3 is a digital servo drive produced by Kollmorgen and assigned to the S700 Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position of synchronous motors in automated machinery, linking motion axes to higher-level PLCs through real-time fieldbus interfaces. Within an enclosure, the unit functions as the power electronics layer between the mains supply and the motor, converting AC input into controlled three-phase output for manufacturing cells and packaging lines that require coordinated axis control.

It operates from a three-phase supply of 208 to 480 V, enabling deployment across low- and medium-voltage panels. Under continuous duty, the power section delivers 72 Arms to the motor windings, while the IGBT bridge switches at 8 kHz; this carrier frequency balances torque resolution with manageable heat. The converter can draw up to 50 kVA of apparent power, so upstream breakers and cabling must be sized accordingly. The housing is 244 mm deep, 386 mm high, and 190 mm wide. A dedicated hardware circuit provides dual-channel STO, removing gate power in less than a millisecond for emergency stops. For dynamic loads, the output stage tolerates overload for 5 s, supplying extra acceleration torque before thermal limits apply. The permitted energization rate is 30 times per hour, which helps protect inrush components during frequent power-ups. Installed mass is 13 kg, which supports manageable cabinet installation.
