The S7480F-FBF2-S4 is a Kollmorgen servo drive in the S700 Servo Drives series for precise torque, velocity, and position control of three-phase servo motors in industrial automation cells. Installed in a machine cabinet, it exchanges commands over a fieldbus network and delivers regulated power to the connected motor. This arrangement supports coordinated multi-axis motion while keeping the power electronics and control functions in a single cabinet-mounted unit. The drive is intended for servo systems that require stable closed-loop performance under changing load conditions.

The drive has a rated output of 48 Arms and can supply short-term bursts of 96 Arms for five seconds, which helps during acceleration of high-inertia loads. Its DC link can rise to 900 VDC, and the output stage switches at 8 kHz to reduce current ripple. Safety functions are rated to SIL 2, and the unit uses dual STO channels together with a secondary feedback input that accepts 1 V p-p sin/cos signals.
