The S7480F-EIF2-NA servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen and belongs to the S700 Servo Drives series. It converts line power into controlled three-phase output for brushless servo motors, coordinating torque, velocity, and position loops within industrial automation cells. Integrated logic and safety interfaces allow the drive to manage single-axis or multi-axis systems used in packaging equipment, robotics, and material processing installations.

The drive accepts mains within a range of 208 to 480 V and draws up to 35 kVA when operating at nominal load. The inverter delivers a continuous phase current of 48 Arms and can momentarily reach 96 Arms for rapid acceleration or shock loads. IGBT switching occurs at 8 kHz, permitting fine current resolution while keeping thermal loss moderate. A residual voltage drop of 6 V appears across the output transistors, and when the axis is disabled, the internal circuitry dissipates 24 W. The mechanical enclosure leaves clearance for connectors, so the stated depth refers only to the body of the unit. Residual heat is removed by integrated fans controlled through the dedicated card, and conformal coating on the PCBs supports reliability in environments where conductive dust or condensation may occur.
