Product Description:
S7480A-PNF2-S3 is a Kollmorgen servo amplifier. It supports features optimized for closed loop control of industrial motors. Closed loop control systems rely on real time feedback. S700 amplifiers support encoder based, resolver based and additional feedback evaluation methods. These amplifiers are compatible with DC motors, synchronous motors, asynchronous motors and linear motors. The S7480A-PNF2-S3 amplifier is equipped with three factory-installed expansion cards, including a Profinet card, a fan control card, and a safety card. The Profinet card allows connectivity with Profinet industrial networks. The fan control card enables management of noise emissions associated with the internal cooling fan on the amplifier. Kollmorgen has designed S700 amplifiers for 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Operation of the amplifiers outside this range leads to output derating at a rate of 2.5%/K between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius.
The site elevation range recommended by Kollmorgen is 0 to 1000 meters. Operation of the amplifiers outside this range leads to output derating at a rate of 1.5%/100 meters between 1000 and 2500 meters. Input voltage rating of the S7480A-PNF2-S3 amplifier is 208 to 480 Volts AC. Single-phase AC input is sufficient during setup. However, three-phase input is mandatory for operation with a connected load. Direct connection with grounded AC mains is permitted. However, an isolation transformer should be used when connecting to ungrounded AC mains. The input power requirement for continuous output is 35 kVA. Nominal output current of the amplifier is 48 Amps rms and the peak output is 96 Amps. The amplifier can maintain peak output for 5 seconds. Product documentation is provided with the amplifier.
