Product Description:
S7480A-NANA-PA is a Kollmorgen digital servo amplifier. It is part of the S700 product line. The amplifier is designed for industrial applications. It is used for speed and torque control of Kollmorgen industrial motors. The amplifier supports multiple feedback evaluation methods, including resolver and encoder. Therefore, it can form part of closed loop control systems that provide accurate and precise motor control. Each S700 series amplifier has three expansion slots. The first two expansion slots on the S7480A-NANA-PA amplifier are unoccupied. Operators can order required expansion slots separately and install these cards in the vacant slots on the amplifier. Slot 3 on the S7480A-NANA-PA amplifier is occupied by a position I/O monitor card. This expansion card provides an extra X3C connector with analog +/-10 Volts inputs and outputs. Functionality of the card can be set with the setup software or macro functions.
The card also supports features available on the Position I/O card, including an extra SubD connector (X5) with high-speed, digital bidirectional 5 Volts inputs/outputs. Input voltage range for the amplifier is 208 to 480 Volts AC. Three-phase AC input is required for operation with load, whereas single-phase AC input can be used during setup. The amplifier can be connected to AC mains that are grounded. Connection to ungrounded AC mains require use of an isolation transformer for protection of equipment and personnel. The working temperature for operation with rated output is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Operation at higher temperatures leads to output derating and should be avoided. Amplifier firmware and parameters can be backed up to a memory card. In case of failure or malfunction, the backups can be used for rapid commissioning of replacement units.
