The S7480A-FBF2-F2 is a digital servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen to carry out the accurate control of industrial servo motor. This amplifier features a combination of past experience and the latest industrial technology, it is sophisticated in operation, and is intended to be used exclusively with brushless synchronous, asynchronous, and induction motor design. The servo amplifier is tested and certified to meet the highest levels of operational safety before it is delivered to customers. Some of the integrated safety features of this servo amplifier include soft-start, temperature monitoring, overvoltage detection, short circuit protection, and phase failure monitoring. Also, the amplifier does not require any maintenance operation, opening the housing of the amplifier for maintenance will void the warranty covering it. As a standard, the S7480A-FBF2-F2 servo amplifier is delivered with a printed safety guide, mating connectors, shielding plates, and a setup software DRIVEGUI.EXE on a CD-ROM. Other accessories such as the motor cable and the feedback cables ae not delivered with the amplifier, customers are expected to make separate orders for them if required. The rated supply voltage required by the S7480A-FBF2-F2 servo amplifier is 208 to 480 volts, at this voltage the amplifier generates a rated output current of 48 amperes.
