Product Description:
S7480A-EIF2-PM is a Kollmorgen S700 series digital servo amplifier. S700 amplifiers work with linear motors, synchronous motors, asynchronous motors and DC motors. Features of S700 amplifiers include three expansion slots, wide input voltage range, internal cooling fan, integrated EtherCAT and CANopen interfaces, multiple evaluation options, position controller, dual channel safe torque off, and a memory card slot. The expansion slots allow installation of three expansion cards. Supported evaluation options include resolver, encoder, comcoder and AquadB encoder. The memory card allows backup of amplifier firmware and operating parameters. In case of amplifier failure, backups on the memory card can be used to quickly commission a replacement unit. Kollmorgen recommends 0 to 40 degrees Celsius for amplifier operation, -25 to 55 degree Celsius for amplifier storage and -25 to 70 degrees Celsius for amplifier transportation.
Input voltage range for the S7480A-EIF2-PM amplifier is 208 to 480 Volts AC. The amplifier supports direct connection to grounded AC mains. Three phase input is required for normal operation, and single-phase input can be used for setup. Interference suppression filters are integrated for the electrical supply feed and the auxiliary supply voltage. Rated output of the S7480A-EIF2-PM amplifier is 48 Amps. The peak output of 96 Amps can be sustained for 5 seconds. An I/O expansion card is installed in slot 1. This card provides 14 additional digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. The functions of the inputs and outputs are adjustable with the setup software. A fan control card is installed in slot 2. This card is used to control noise emissions of the built-in cooling fan. A position I/O card is installed in slot 3. Only technical personnel with relevant experience should operate the amplifier.
