The S7480A-2CF2-F2 is a Kollmorgen servo drive supplied within the S700 Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop power stage, it modulates voltage and current delivered to matched servomotors, allowing precise speed, torque, and position control in automated machinery and material-handling workcells. It is suited for coordinated axes where the controller must regulate motor motion continuously as load and speed demands change.

This drive accepts a three-phase input of 208–480 V and delivers a continuous output of 48 Arms with a peak capacity of 96 Arms for short acceleration bursts. A current form factor of 1.01 keeps RMS and average current nearly identical, which simplifies thermal modeling. The internal bus shows only 6 V of residual voltage drop, preserving dynamic range at high loads. Functional safety is addressed through dual-channel STO, enabling immediate torque removal without external contactors. Two CAN ports with 120 Ohm termination support distributed drive networks, while an optional fan-controller expansion card can energize auxiliary blowers when the heat sink reaches the 65 °C fan-full-on threshold.
