Product Description:
S74802-SEF2-PA is a high-performance servo amplifier. It is designed by Kollmorgen for closed loop control of motor parameters. S700 series amplifiers support a wide range of integrated features. Three expansion slots on the S700 units allow addition of expansion cards. The combination of integrated and optional features allows use of S700 units for a wide range of industrial applications. Standard features available on all S700 units include Ethernet for SynqNet and EtherCAT, RS-232 interface for computer communication, a memory card slots, three expansion slots, wide input voltage range, built-in cooling fan and safe torque off for safety. Optional features that can be added via expansion cards include legacy communication interfaces and digital/analog I/O. All three expansion slots on the S74802-SEF2-PA unit are occupied: slot 1 contains a SERCOS 2 card, slot 2 contains a fan control card, and slot 3 contains a position I/O monitor card. SERCOS is a high-speed serial communication standard that use reliable fiber optic communication. The fan control card runs the internal fan at 50% of rated speed. It also switches off the fan when it is not required. Both of these actions helps to reduce noise emission of the internal cooling fan. For optimal performance, the ambient temperature must be maintained between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. Output of the amplifier derates by 2.5%/K for temperatures between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. The site altitude can go up to 1000 meters without output derating. The output of the unit derates by 1.5%/100 meters for altitudes between 1000 and 2500 meters. Enclosure protection rating of the unit is IP20. It must be mounted inside a switchgear cabinet. The unit is designed for vertical mounting.
