The S74802-SEF2-NA servo drive is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the S700 Servo Drives series. It converts incoming three-phase power into regulated motor voltages and currents, allowing precise velocity and torque control in industrial automation cells. Built-in EtherCAT and CANopen interfaces on the control board let the unit exchange cyclic setpoints and feedback with higher-level PLCs. When the drive is disabled, thermal dissipation falls to 24 W, which reduces cabinet heat load. Safety is provided through the Dual channel STO function, which removes torque-producing energy without external contactors while leaving communication active for status reporting.
