The Kollmorgen S74802-PNF2-S4 is a digital servo amplifier that contains electrostatically sensitive components that might be damaged by incorrect handling. Care should be taken that the device does not come in contact with highly insulating materials like artificial fabrics and plastic film. The product should always be placed on a conductive surface. The surface of the amplifier can be hot in operation. The surface temperature can exceed 80°C. So before touching it, the user should measure the temperature and wait until the motor has cooled down below 40°C. The device can be supplied from 3-phase grounded (earthed) industrial supply networks. The S700 servo amplifier is exclusively intended for driving suitable brushless synchronous servomotors, asynchronous motors, and DC motors with control of torque, speed, and/or position. If the packaging is damaged, the product should be checked for visible damage. In the case of any damage, the shipper and the manufacturer should be informed. The unit does not require maintenance. Opening the servo amplifier voids the warranty. The inside of the device can be cleaned only by the manufacturer. The unit must not be immersed in or sprayed with water or any liquid. When the S700 servo amplifier is ordered, the delivery package contains the servo amplifier, shielding plate, shield clamps, safety guide S700 (printed), online documentation, setup software DRIVEGUI.EXE on CD-ROM, and mating connectors X3A, X3B, X4, X9A, X9B. The mating SubD connectors do not come with the delivery package. If required, they should be ordered separately. DRIVEGUI.EXE is the setup software of the servo amplifier. The product has three slots. The second slot has a fan controller as its expansion option.
