The S74802-NANA-PM servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen within the S700 Servo Drives series. Designed for industrial automation, the module converts three-phase AC line power into controlled motor currents, coordinating speed, torque, and position loops for connected servomotors. It supports EtherCAT and CANopen directly on the main board, so no expansion card is required. Dual Safe Torque Off (STO) channels are integrated to remove drive energy rapidly when safety logic demands it.

The drive accepts mains in the range of 208 to 480 V, allowing installation on a wide range of utility supplies without a step-down transformer. Under continuous duty it sources up to 48 Arms, while a peak of 96 Arms can be delivered for 5 s to overcome inertia during acceleration. The output current form factor of 1.01 indicates that the RMS value is very close to the arithmetic average, which helps limit harmonic heating in motor windings. With a residual voltage drop of 6 V, the internal IGBTs impose only minimal loss between the DC link and motor terminals. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, indicating finger-safe protection when mounted inside a cabinet, and internal dissipation during standby is limited to 24 W, which helps simplify panel cooling.

Physical dimensions support tight cabinet layouts, with an overall height of 386 mm, a depth of 244 mm, and a width of 190 mm. At a mass of 13 kg, the unit remains manageable during installation while still providing the thermal mass needed for current surges. The housing depth leaves space behind the terminals for bending supply conductors, and the width aligns with common modular panel spacing. Vertical air channels are integrated to help maintain component temperature when the unit operates near its rated current limit, while a dual-row control connector brings encoder feedback and digital I/O to the internal signal board without occupying cabinet backplane area.
