The S74802-NAF2-F2 is an S700 Servo Drives unit manufactured by Kollmorgen. As a servo drive, it supplies regulated power to synchronous or induction motors used in positioning and speed-controlled machinery. The housing measures 190 mm in width, stands 505 mm high, and extends 285 mm deep once connectors are installed, while the assembly weighs 13 kg. Thermal management relies on a controlled fan, and a dedicated fan-controller expansion card is already installed to supervise airflow. This configuration fits tightly packed cabinets that need active cooling without external ductwork.

The drive operates from an input range of 208–480 V and delivers a continuous phase current of 48 Arms to the motor winding. Internally, the DC link can rise to 900 VDC, so the connected motor must present at least 0.88 mH of inductance at 480 V to avoid overcurrent events. The output transistors are clocked at 8 kHz, giving fine torque resolution, while steady-state heat production reaches 685 W when the AC mains are at 480 V. During idle, the quiescent loss is 24 W, and only 6 V is dropped across the power stage under load. Up to 30 start-stop cycles per hour are permitted by the switch-on/off rating, and the dual-channel STO circuitry removes power quickly for safety. When short bursts of torque are demanded, the inverter can supply 96 Arms for acceleration without violating thermal limits. Input power capacity is 36 kVA, allowing the unit to drive sizable servomotors on high-inertia axes. Acoustic output is limited to 62 dB(A) at full load, keeping panel noise within common factory guidelines. Dynamic temperature feedback adjusts the fan speed so heat removal scales with dissipation, supporting reliable operation across the full electrical range without exceeding mechanical switching limits.
