Product Description:
S74802-FBF2-S3 is a Kollmorgen servo amplifier from the S700 series. The amplifier has three expansion slots. Optional expansion cards can be added to enhance amplifier functionality. S700 amplifiers support several integrated features, such as dual channel safe torque off, Ethernet and RS-232 interfaces, a memory card slot, internal cooling fan and keypad for configuration. In addition to the keypad, the S74802-FBF2-S3 can be configured via PC based configuration software. The RS-232 interface can used for communication with a PC. The integrated Ethernet interface allows EtherCAT and SynqNet connectivity. Legacy communication options, such as DeviceNet and Profinet, can be added via expansion cards. Three expansion cards are installed on the S74802-FBF2-S3 amplifier. These include a fan control card in slot 2, a safety card is slot 3 and a feedback extension in slot 1. Rated input for the amplifier is 208 to 480 Volts AC. Three phase input is required for normal operation and single phase input can be used during setup. The memory card allows backup of firmware and operating parameters. For optimal performance, the ambient temperature need to be between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The optimal site elevation range is 0 to 1000 meters. Amplifier operation outside these limits leads to output derating and can also lead to equipment malfunction. For storage the recommended temperature is -25 to 55 degrees Celsius. For transport the recommended temperature is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. Relevant safety precautions are listed in the product documentation. These precautions must be read, understood, and implemented. Surface of the S74802-FBF2-S3 can get extremely hot during operation.
