The S74802-FBF2-F2 is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the S700 Servo Drives series. The unit converts three-phase input power into controlled output for brushless servo motors used in positioning, packaging, and material-handling machines. By supplying precise current and voltage waveforms, it closes the motion control loop between a PLC or CNC and the motor. This helps maintain stable velocity regulation, repeatable torque response, and accurate axis behavior during rapid starts, stops, and speed changes in coordinated automation systems.

In continuous operation, the drive delivers a motor phase current of 48 Arms and is supported by an input capacity of 35 kVA across a supply range of 208–480 V. Power devices switch at 8 kHz, which gives fine resolution for current regulation while helping limit switching losses in the transistor stage. Braking energy can be handled internally up to 8 kW of continuous dissipation, and a 15 Ω external resistor connection is available when the application returns additional energy during deceleration. The standard PCB option uses conformal-coated circuit boards, the fan controller expansion card manages cabinet airflow during higher duty cycles, and the dual-channel STO function removes drive power without opening the main contactor. The enclosure is rated IP20 and measures 386 mm high, 190 mm wide, and 244 mm deep, with a mass of 13 kg, so it fits standard control cabinet layouts without requiring excessive panel space.
