The S74802-EIF2-PA servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen within the S700 Servo Drives series. Acting as a digitally controlled amplifier, it converts three-phase mains power into regulated current for synchronous or induction servomotors. This supports precise position and speed control in packaging cells, robotics, and other automated equipment.

It accepts a three-phase supply from 208 to 480 V and can draw up to 35 kVA under rated load. The power stage delivers a continuous output of 48 Arms and withstands peaks of 96 Arms for acceleration events; the residual voltage drop across the output transistors is 6 V, so most of the bus voltage reaches the motor. Its switching devices operate at 8 kHz, a carrier frequency that limits current ripple and keeps acoustic noise within the 62 dB(A) ceiling. The analog command channel presents an impedance of 20 kΩ, so it does not load external controllers, and the feedback port has a resolution of 0.38 mV. A form factor of 1.01, along with fourteen digital inputs and eight digital outputs, helps conserve cabinet space. The unit tolerates thirty switch-on or switch-off cycles per hour and, when disabled, dissipates 24 W through its standard PCBs.

The optional fan controller card engages an internal blower that runs at full speed once the heat sink reaches 65 °C, helping manage heat during demanding duty cycles. The enclosure weighs 13 kg, which helps keep mounting loads low. For oscilloscope monitoring, the analog monitor pin delivers a span of ±10 V, making torque or speed signals easy to observe in real time. Safety is provided by the hardware-based dual-channel STO, which removes gate signals redundantly for immediate torque shutdown. The available I/O resources also support integration with external sensors, status signals, and interlocks.
