Product Description:
S74802-DNF2-PA is a S700 series digital amplifier from Kollmorgen. S700 series amplifiers are designed for use in combination with compatible synchronous, linear, induction and DC motors. The shipment from Kollmorgen contains the servo amplifier with shielding plate and clamps, a product safety guide, product documentation and mating connectors. Accessories available for separate ordering include a hybrid motor cable, feedback cables, external brake resistor, PC communication cable and control and power cables. The nameplate attached to the side of the unit lists relevant information that can be used to identify the equipment and its specifications. The voltage supply range for the unit is 208 to 480 Volts AC. EtherCat and CANopen are available as integrated options. Safety torque off is available as a standard feature. Other safety features can be added via expansions cards. Three slots are available on the unit for expansion cards. Slot 1 features a DeviceNet card. Slot 2 features a fan control card. Slot 3 is occupied by a position I/O monitor card. Resolver, encoder, AquadB encoder, and ComCoder evaluation methods are available as standard. Rated output of the amplifier is 48 Amps. Under high load conditions, the amplifier can supply higher output current. It can sustain 96 Amps peak output for 5 seconds. Integrated safety features include soft-start, overvoltage and short-circuit protection, and phase-failure monitoring. Temperature monitoring of the servo amplifier and motor are supported when prefabricated cables from Kollmorgen are used. Operation of the S74802-DNF2-PA unit can be set up via the PC based software. Operation can also be set up via the two keys on the unit and the LED display. The unit is programmable via the RS-232 serial interface.
