The S72402-NANANA-NA is a Kollmorgen drive unit in the S700 Servo Drives series. It functions as a three-phase AC servo drive that conditions power for synchronous or induction motors used in industrial automation lines. EtherCAT and CANopen communication are available on the base hardware, so no optional expansion card is required. Standard PCBs are installed for control and power processing, which keeps the communication and power sections integrated in one cabinet-mounted unit.

The drive supplies a continuous phase current of 24 Arms and can deliver up to 48 Arms for 2 seconds to manage acceleration peaks. It accepts mains between 208–480 V and modulates that input at a switching frequency of 8 kHz. This input range supports use on common industrial power systems, while the switching rate supports stable motor current control. For energy absorption during deceleration, an internal brake resistor of 23 ohms is fitted. Minimum motor inductance at 230 V is 0.8 mH, allowing precise current regulation with low-reactance windings. Residual voltage drop across the power stage is limited to 6 V. Connection-free dimensions measure 348 mm in height, 243 mm in depth, and 100 mm in width, and the housing dissipates 25 W when disabled while rising to 330 W under rated output.

The internal brake resistor handles a continuous thermal load of 200 W, and the DC bus can rise to 900 VDC during regenerative events before external braking is required. Mains demand at nominal conditions is 18 kVA, which suits medium-power motor groups on a 480 V network. Total mass is 5.5 kg, keeping cabinet rail loading relatively low. The dual-channel STO circuit provides safe torque off without external contactors. Airborne sound is capped at 65 dB(A) during full load, and thermal management is aided by dual-side airflow paths built into the casting.
