Product Description:
The S70662-PBNANA from Kollmorgen’s S700 Servo Drives series is an intelligent AC servo amplifier designed for medium-power motion axes in factory automation. By modulating its output according to feedback from the attached motor, the S70662-PBNANA delivers position, speed, and torque control for packaging machinery, pick-and-place systems, and other precise electromechanical loads. It connects directly to utility mains, integrates dynamic braking, and includes built-in fieldbus and safety functions that simplify panel design. The amplifier processes motor feedback continuously, allowing its control loops to respond to changing loads and commanded motion profiles.
It accepts a mains input range of 110 to 230 V AC, and its logic electronics are powered separately by a 24 V DC auxiliary supply that keeps the control section active during a mains shutdown. Under nominal conditions, the drive draws 2.3 kVA and supplies a continuous phase current of 6 A RMS to the motor. The design supports motor windings with inductance as low as 3 mH when operated on a 230 V supply. Fast current loops are supported by a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, or 16 kHz when the required derating is applied, permitting fine torque resolution. The internal DC link can rise to 455 V DC, and surplus energy is dissipated through a 33 Ω resistor rated for 75 W of continuous braking power. Acoustic output during operation does not exceed 58 dB(A). Standard printed circuit boards are fitted in the drive.
During rapid deceleration or sudden load changes, the unit can momentarily dissipate up to 1.38 kW through the onboard brake resistor while delivering a peak phase current of 12 A RMS. Functional safety is provided by a dual-channel STO input that removes motor torque without opening the mains contactor. Motion commands and diagnostic data are exchanged through the PROFIBUS DP interface installed in slot 1. EtherCAT, CANopen, and the PROFIdrive 3.2 profile are available on the baseboard, while PPO type 2 telegrams support structured data exchange. No expansion card is installed, so the standard installation depth remains unchanged.
