Product Description:
The S70602-NANANA-NA is a Kollmorgen servo drive in the S700 Servo Drives series. It is intended to regulate torque, speed, and position for synchronous or induction motors used in automated machinery and material-handling cells. By combining power electronics with integrated motion control functions, the unit links higher-level controllers to field devices and delivers the commanded current to the connected motor during acceleration, steady-speed operation, and positioning moves.
The logic section is energized from an auxiliary supply of 24 VDC, while the power stage accepts a three-phase input range of 208 to 480 V. Under rated operation, the drive delivers 6 Arms of continuous output current and draws up to 4.5 kVA from the supply. Pulse-width modulation is handled by an output stage that switches at 8 kHz, balancing current ripple with thermal loading. Communication with the controller happens through onboard EtherCAT and CANopen interfaces, so the drive can exchange cyclic commands and status data without a separate fieldbus module. No plug-in expansion card is required, which keeps the option slot available. Standard-grade PCBs are fitted, and the housing has an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside an enclosed control cabinet rather than in an exposed machine location.
Dynamic deceleration can be routed to an external brake resistor rated at 1 kW with a resistance of 33 Ohm, or to the internal absorber that handles 75 W during shorter braking cycles. The same resistance value is used for the internal and external brake circuits, which keeps the braking arrangement straightforward. If external energy dumping is selected, a maximum brake current of 2 A can be maintained without exceeding component limits. Safety is addressed through dual-channel STO, which fulfills basic drive disable requirements without additional contactors.
