Product Description:
The S70302-PBNANA servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen within the S700 Servo Drives series. It is intended for use in industrial automation cells where precise torque, velocity, and position regulation are required for synchronous or induction motors. By rectifying and inverting three-phase line power, the drive forms the active interface between a motion controller and the mechanical axis, allowing coordinated multi-axis movement through integrated communication interfaces.
The drive operates from a line range of 208–480 V and has a continuous apparent power demand of 2.2 kVA. Under nominal conditions, it supplies a motor phase current of 3 Arms, while transient loads can be supported with a peak output of 9 Arms for up to two seconds before current limiting engages. A DC link rated at 900 VDC stores regenerated energy, and excess energy is dissipated through an internal 33 Ω brake resistor. Power devices switch at 8 kHz, which provides suitable current resolution for low-inductance coils. Two 9-pin Sub-D connectors support PROFIBUS communication, and the drive has no expansion card because the fieldbus function is integrated. Standard printed circuit boards are used throughout the unit.
The housing measures 70 mm wide, 243 mm deep, and 345 mm high, and the drive has a mass of 4.4 kg. An external dynamic brake interface handles up to 1 kW of regenerated energy, while the internal absorber is limited to 50 W. Dual safety relays provide the certified dual-channel STO function, allowing the motor to be torque-free without removing line power. All circuitry is assembled on standard printed circuit boards.
