Product Description:
The S70302-NANANA-NA is a drive module in Kollmorgen’s S700 Servo Drives series. Classified in the type code as an S700 Servo Drive, it is designed to regulate brushless servo motors in multi-axis automation lines. The unit supplies commanded torque, velocity, and position loops while supporting real-time communication through the built-in EtherCAT and CANopen ports; no optional expansion card is fitted. Standard PCBs are used throughout the power stage and control electronics to meet general-purpose application needs. Dual-channel STO circuitry is present so motion can be safely disabled without cutting main power.
Under continuous operation the drive delivers a rated phase current of 3 Arms, drawing up to 2.2 kVA from the three-phase mains. Its input stage accepts line voltages between 208…480 V, allowing the same model to be used on low or high supply networks without hardware changes. The IGBT bridge commutates at a switching frequency of 8 kHz, a compromise between motor acoustic noise and inverter losses. For short acceleration bursts the current can rise to peak level for 2 s, giving extra torque without overheating. Mechanical dimensions are 70 mm wide and 345 mm high, so the unit fits densely packed control cabinets.
Thermal energy produced during braking is first absorbed by an internal resistor rated at 50 W; when kinetic load energy exceeds that value the external circuit switches to a 33 Ohm resistor that can dissipate 1 kW continuously. Both brake elements share the same resistance to maintain predictable deceleration profiles. Cabinet planning is aided by the enclosure depth of 243 mm and a mass of 4.4 kg, enabling vertical mounting without additional supports. An internal 33 Ohm brake resistor, the dual channel STO, and the absence of expansion cards simplify wiring while the “Standard PCBs” option detail keeps component count to the baseline configuration.
