Product Description:
The S70301-NANANA is a Kollmorgen drive module in the S700 Servo Drives series that supplies closed-loop control for synchronous and induction motors used on packaging lines, material handling systems, and similar automated equipment. It occupies a single axis slot and communicates natively over EtherCAT and CANopen, giving motion controllers direct access to current, velocity, and position loops without an add-on fieldbus card. As part of a safety-focused platform, the drive also supports a single-channel Safe Torque Off function that removes motor power during emergency stops.
The unit accepts a three-phase supply between 208...480V and delivers a continuous phase current of 3 Arms while drawing 2.2 kVA at rated load. Peak motor demand can be followed thanks to a switching stage that operates at 8 kHz; internal dissipation under these conditions is limited to 70 W. Command signals are handled through a ±10 V analog input, six digital inputs that sink 15 mA each, and two digital outputs that source up to 100 mA. A dedicated brake terminal supplies 2 A for holding solenoids during standstill. Motors with inductances down to 7.4 mH at 400 V can be controlled without instability, and acoustic emissions remain at 43 dB(A) for quiet cabinet operation. Standard printed circuit boards with protective coating are fitted, aligning with the option detail marked “Standard PCBs.”
Mechanical integration is simplified by a panel-mount chassis that is 345 mm high, 243 mm deep, and only 70 mm wide. The aluminum housing weighs 4.4 kg, keeps conductive parts behind finger-safe covers, and carries an environmental rating of IP20. During rapid indexing moves the drive can supply a two-second peak of 9 Arms to overcome inertia before returning to continuous limits. Heat sinks and airflow paths match the 70 W loss figure, and overall noise is controlled so the unit meets cabinet ventilation guidelines without exceeding the specified 43 dB(A) level.
