The SERVOSTAR-603 servo drive belongs to Kollmorgen's S600 Servo Drives series. It is designed to operate motors with a high degree of accuracy in industries. This drive has working voltage of 3 x 230V +/- 10 % at 50 Hz or 3 x 208V +/- 10% at 60 Hz. This drive has a maximum output current of 3A and it has a pulsed current of 6A for 5 seconds. The rated DC bus link voltage range is 290V to 675V to guarantee efficient and stable performance.

The environmental operating conditions of SERVOSTAR-603 are versatile and it is designed to operate optimally in temperatures ranging between 0 degrees C and 45 degrees C. It has an IP20 environmental protection rating which does not provide protection against dust but can easily protect against solid objects. It should be mounted in indoor areas. The 8 kHz is the clock frequency for the drive with the possibility of upgrading to 16 kHz and the maximum DC voltage is 400 V. It also has an overvoltage protection threshold, which works within the range of 450V and 900V, to protect it against various electrical conditions.

The specifications of this servo drive include load inductance of up to 75 mH and the minimum load inductance is 12 mH. It has multi-rate ADC for a fast conversion, flexible and accurate analog-IN (14-bit primary, 12-bit secondary) with +10V-(-10V) differential input range to control the motor effectively. Further, the input update rate of 62.5 us makes it more appropriate for high-speed applications since it provides a quick response time. Circuit power consumption is low at 15W in standby mode and 40W at rated current, which makes the SERVOSTAR-603 suitable for use in industrial motion control units.
