Product Description:
The S62000-NA is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen for the S600 Servo Drives series. It converts three-phase mains power into regulated motor currents so that industrial axes can be driven with precise torque, speed, and position loops. By combining fieldbus communication, braking circuitry, and real-time monitoring in one compact module, the unit serves as the link between higher-level PLCs and the mechanical elements of packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, and material finishing machines.
The power stage is rated for 20 A rms, allowing medium-frame servomotors to be energized without overheating the drive. Current is sampled every 62.5 µs, and this inner-loop interval helps the controller suppress ripple during fast load changes. A separate logic rail of 24 VDC keeps the processor and communication interfaces active when the mains supply is absent, enabling orderly shutdown. Regenerated energy is diverted to an internal brake that can absorb 200 W, reducing the need for an external resistor in many installations. All electronics are housed behind an IP20 enclosure, which is touch-safe for installation inside electrical panels.
System integration is simplified by a CANopen interface that operates at up to 500 kBaud, exchanging process data alongside four digital inputs and two digital outputs. Control electronics on the 24 V rail are protected by a 3.15 AT fuse that clears fault currents quickly. Position corrections are calculated every 250 µs, coordinating with the faster current loop to improve indexing accuracy. The three-phase input tolerance of 230 to 480 V supports use on a wide range of industrial power systems, while the 14 kVA installed load guides upstream circuit-breaker sizing. The drive also has a 33 Ω internal brake resistor, a width of 120 mm, and a maximum ambient temperature of 45 °C.
