The Kollmorgen S61401-550 is a high-performance servo drive from the S600 Servo Drives family. It was designed for tough industrial automation jobs that need accuracy, dependability, and long-lasting strength. This type is made of CRES 17-7PH stainless steel according to AMS 5528 or AMS 5529 standards. It has great mechanical strength, resistance to corrosion, and a long service life. It fulfils MS20002C requirements, with a hardness rating of RC 37–43, and an internal diameter range of 0.171–0.181 inches. This makes it perfect for use in severe areas with a lot of stress. The S61401-550 has the same basic features as the S600 series, such as the ability to work with supply voltages of 3×230–480 VAC (50 Hertz) or 3×208–480 VAC (60 Hertz) with a tolerance of ±10%.
It can handle a constant load of 10 A RMS and a peak load of 20 A for up to 5 seconds, therefore the drive can work under both steady and peak load situations. The broad range of DC bus link voltages (260–675 VDC) keeps everything running smoothly even when the power goes off. It has an 8 kHz switching frequency by default, but it can also run at 16 kHz at 400 VDC, which improves control accuracy and lowers wear on the parts. Other characteristics include a 12- or 14-bit analogue setpoint resolution, a quiescent dissipation of just 15 W, and a dissipation of around 90 W at rated current, without including braking losses. The drive may use extra 24 VDC power (1 A without a brake and 3 A with a brake) and works in temperatures from 0°C to +45°C. The S61401-550 is now available at Wake Industrial.
