The S61400 is a new-generation servo amplifier built by Kollmorgen to improve operation performance of industrial motors by supporting the reliable and long-lasting control over the operation of the motor. The servo amplifier is part of the SERVOSTART 6000 family series of servo amplifiers; it can be connected directly to symmetrically earthed three-phase industrial mains supply networks such as the TN and TT system with earthed neutral point. Customers who purchase this product as able to use it in residential areas, business environments or commercial premises; however, an additional filter measure will be required to reduce interference. The S61400 servo amplifier is built exclusively to drive brushless synchronous servo motors. When connected to compatible motors, the amplifier provides closed-loop control of torque, speed, and/or position.
The S61400 servo amplifier is unable to withstand harsh environmental conditions, it should always be used in a closed switch gear cabinet that can provide it with sufficient protection and preserve the ambient conditions around the drive within a permissible range. Operators might be required to provide ventilation or an additional cooling unit to protect the servo drive. Only copper wires should be used with this amplifier, the wire used must also be confirmed to meet the quality standards stated in the documentation delivered with the product.
The S61400 does not have any safety functionality according to IEC 61800-5-2. The servo drive itself does not require any maintenance to maintain its characteristic high-performance standards. Also, opening the drive's housing will invalidate any warranty covering it. The peak installation height for this servo drive is about 1000 meters above sea level; also it should not be used at an ambient temperature that exceeds 45 degrees Celsius.
