The S61000-NA is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the S600 Servo Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency utility power into regulated variable-frequency output for brushless servomotors, allowing coordinated motion in CNC machines, pick-and-place robots, and other industrial axes. The device is installed in an electrical panel and delivers closed-loop current control so that motor speed and position follow controller commands accurately during normal production cycles. Its panel-mounted design also supports centralized control layouts where motor power, feedback, and drive wiring are routed through the same enclosure.

It accepts a three-phase mains input of 230 to 480 V and uses a 10 AT supply fuse to limit fault current. The power section supports a continuous phase current of 10 A rms, which corresponds to a rated installed load of 7 kVA on the motor side. Thermal losses are limited to 90 W at this rating, and the open-frame housing has an IP20 protection rating. The housing measures 70 mm wide, 265 mm deep, and 275 mm high, which allows narrow vertical mounting in crowded enclosures. Control stability is maintained when the connected motor has inductance between 4 mH and 25 mH. The drive is supplied without an expansion module, and its internal circuitry causes a residual DC-bus drop of 5 V. Narrow cabinet placement is possible, but airflow paths still need to remain clear around the unit.

The logic stage remains active through an auxiliary supply of 24 VDC, which supports controlled shutdown behavior when main power is removed. Regenerative energy during rapid deceleration is absorbed by an internal brake resistor of 33 Ω, and it can dissipate up to 200 W without an external load bank. Acoustic output is capped at 45 dB(A), which helps the drive suit panels located near production areas. This arrangement supports orderly stops and reduces the need for external braking hardware.
