The S61000 servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen within the S600 Servo Drives series. As an AC amplifier, it interfaces between a motion controller and a synchronous or induction motor to regulate torque, speed, and position in industrial automation cells. The unit converts mains power into a modulated three-phase output and incorporates energy management for dynamic loads. Its control functions support applications such as packaging machinery, pick-and-place systems, and material-converting lines that require coordinated motor movement.

The drive delivers a continuous phase current of 10 A RMS, allowing medium-frame motors to reach rated torque. It accepts mains supplies from 230 to 480 V on three-phase lines, so it can operate on both 240 V and 400 V plant networks. With an output-current form factor of 1.01, the converter maintains sinusoidal load currents that minimize motor heating. The setpoint converter provides 14-bit/12-bit resolution for analog or fieldbus references, supporting precise velocity control.
