The S610-3000-NA is part of the S600 family of digital servo amplifiers. This servo amplifier has a current rating of 10A arms, and a voltage rating of 230-480 V. All the connections in this amplifier are shielded and the DC-link circuits can be connected in parallel with the patented ballast handling. The S610-3000-NA is fully programmable via the RS232 interface and has no expansion option. This servo amplifier has a 3-character LED display that shows the status of the amplifier after it has been switched on. It also has several shock-hazard protections features which include residual-current circuit breakers, isolating transformers and leakage current protections.
The S610-3000-NA has a 24V, 2A holding brake that can be controlled directly with the unit. The holding brake only works with sufficient voltage level and must be enabled via ‘brake’ parameters on the amplifier. During electrical braking, the generated energy is fed back into the amplifier. The brake circuit thresholds can be adjusted to supply voltage with the aid of the provided software. The S610-3000-NA also has an emergency stop function which is the fastest possible way to shut down the servo amplifier. The emergency stop feature of this amplifier is defined by the IEC 60204 while the functional aspects conform to ISO 13850. For smooth operation, the S610-3000-NA must be installed in a vertical position.
