The S60300-590 is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen for the S600 Servo Drives series. It is intended for closed-loop motor control in industrial automation, converting the incoming mains supply into regulated, phase-accurate current that follows motion commands from a PLC or CNC controller. By managing torque and speed in real time, the drive enables precise positioning of rotary or linear axes used in packaging lines, material-handling stages, and automated assembly cells.
The power section accepts a three-phase supply ranging from 230 to 480 V and uses a control logic supply of 24 VDC. A current controller cycle time of 62.5 µs allows rapid compensation for load changes while the drive delivers a continuous output of 3 A rms and short-term peaks of up to 6 A rms. Two analog setpoint inputs and four programmable digital inputs provide flexible interface options for external control signals. A minimum load inductance of 12 mH and a maximum load inductance of 75 mH establish the permissible range for connected motor windings. An internal brake resistor rated at 66 Ω absorbs regenerated energy during deceleration, and the common-mode voltage is limited to 10 V to protect the insulation system.
