Product Description:
The PRD-00630000-02 is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen for the S600 Servo Drives series. It processes command signals and supplies regulated three-phase power to matched servo motors, allowing closed-loop speed or position control in industrial automation cells, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment. The unit occupies a single slot in a control cabinet, which helps conserve space in multi-axis systems. It connects to higher-level motion controllers over a serial link, allowing each axis to be tuned and monitored without removing the drive from operation.
The built-in communication path uses the RS-232 protocol, and external wiring enters through a dedicated DE-9 D-Sub port to keep parameter transfers separate from high-power circuits. Command and feedback signals are routed through a 25-contact input plug. The DB-25 D-Sub format provides separate connections for encoder channels, limit switches, and drive-enable lines. Phase currents leave the inverter through a 15-contact output plug, and the DA-15 D-Sub housing groups the motor and brake conductors in one connector. The power stage accepts mains input from 230 to 480 V, allowing the drive to operate across the supported supply range without transformer adaptation. Each connector style is keyed to reduce the chance of misalignment during installation or service.
An auxiliary header provides user input and output points through a compact 10-pin header. The DC bus is energized through a captive 2-pin power plug, allowing the power connection to be disconnected without disturbing the signal wiring. Application code runs under software version 0.2.0. The control logic is carried on a circuit board identified as Revision C. The software version and board revision must remain compatible when control files or board-level options are selected. The drive is produced in Israel.
