The SERVOSTAR-443M-P is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen within the S400 Servo Drives series. As a master module, it controls the current and velocity loops of brushless servo motors in automated machinery, converting the incoming three-phase mains supply into a regulated output for precise positioning, winding, or packaging tasks. It is intended for coordinated motion systems where stable motor control and consistent response are required during continuous operation.

The power section runs at a switching rate of 8 kHz, which is how often the IGBTs update the motor current and which affects acoustic tone and control resolution. A rated output of 3 A rms supports continuous motion, while a peak capacity of 9 A rms handles short accelerations without saturating the magnetic circuit. The DC bus accepts line voltages from 230–400 V, and if the link reaches 750 V, the internal overvoltage circuit disconnects the load to protect the semiconductors. The current form factor of 1.01 indicates that rms and average values are almost identical, so thermal loading closely follows the electrical rating.
