It converts a fixed DC bus into finely metered phase currents so that connected motors follow commanded torque, speed, or position profiles required in automated packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and material handling stations. By integrating current, velocity, and position control in one housing, the unit offloads the primary PLC and delivers fast loop closure for demanding motion tasks.

An analog command channel is processed with 14-bit resolution, allowing small reference changes to be reproduced accurately at the power stage. Continuous operation is supported at 6 Arms, while brief peaks up to 12 Arms accommodate acceleration or shock loads without tripping. The power section is pulse-width modulated at 8 kHz, a switching rate that reduces motor ripple and acoustic noise. Mechanically, the unit occupies 267 mm in height, 100 mm in width, and 240 mm in depth, and the aluminum chassis weighs 3 kg.
