The SERVOSTAR-406 is a high performance, complex yet compact servomotor that incorporates control and protection systems, which are used in many kinds of industries. Measuring only 70 mm in width, the device is slim enough to fit in narrow places while still retaining full functionality. The amplifier is equipped with the two programmable analog inputs, four programmable digital inputs, and two programmable digital outputs which are designed to be adjustable to fit diverse application needs. It is also capable of receiving logical combinations of programmed signals, thus performing more intricate tasks of control.
For interface purposes, the SERVOSTAR 406 has an internal RS232 port as well as a CANopen interface supports maximum baud rate of 500 kBaud. There are also unpopulated outer slots provided for expansion cards supporting various bus protocols, including SynqNet, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, SERCOS, and PROFIBUS DP.
