Internally, the S403M-PB samples motor currents on a control loop that runs at a clock frequency of 8 kHz, which means the current regulators refresh every 125 µs to minimize ripple. The power stage can deliver a continuous line-to-line output of 3 A rms; this value is the maximum sine-wave current the servo can supply without derating. Network commands arrive over the PROFIBUS DP fieldbus, giving the drive access to cyclic setpoints and diagnostic telegrams from PLCs.
