Product Description:
The S403AM-PB is a flexible digital servo amplifier which is part of Kollmorgen’s Servostar 400 range. Kollmorgen is a world leader in motion control solutions, specializes in automation system provision for industrial application. This drive is particularly meant for brushless synchronous servo motors with the ability to work with different axes.
The S403AM-PB servo amplifier is designed to receive a 3-phase AC power supply of voltage 230 – 400 V, frequency 50/60 Hz. It is able to provide a constant 3 A of current and is built to handle seven axis modules in one system. With an IP20 protection rating this drive is able to be mounted in a closed control cabinet on a panel. It integrates smoothly with Kollmorgen’s AKM motors and provides closed-loop control alternatives for torque, speed and position. The STO function of the S403AM-PB amplifier promptly extinguishes motor torque within 1 ms of activation, thereby enhancing the safety of operations. The RS-232 and RS-485 connectors are used as communication capabilities, and developed support for CANopen protocol is given to make sure it is compatible with a variety of automation systems. The unit requires a 24 V control DC voltage and has digital inputs for step/direction control up to a limit of 100 kHz. The drive has LEDs and a diagnostic screen to which diagnostics are monitored and parameters set.
The S403AM-PB servo amplifier is designed for sites with pollution degree 2 and is proposed to use for places where conditions are ambient temperatures from -10°C to +50°C.
