The Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR 400 family of servo drives is designed to be connected directly into the AC lines supplying between 115 Volts and 400 Volts supplied from either single or a three phase power source. Specially designed to be interfaced with multi-axis systems, these drives have an output current of between 3.0 and 6.0 Amperes RMS. Kollmorgen S400 drives are easy to monitor because they feature an LED-display and a keyboard. With a keyboard, S400 drives are easy to program by adjusting the parameters to help the drives perfectly fit into a specific application.
The Kollmorgen S403AM-CA is an S400 servo drive with a continuous current rating of 3 ARMS. It is fully programmable allowing it to be interfaced with a wide range of applications on the industrial floor. The S403AM-CA is exclusively designed to be a master module making it ideal to control up to 7 axis modules. For connectivity option, the drive is supplied with an integrated CANopen interface that helps the drive handle high-speed communications at a maximum speed of 1MBit per second. Where a CANopen connectivity interface does not meet the required application needs, the SERVOSTAR servo drive has an expansion slot to introduce EtherCAT, Sercos, and PROFIBUS connectivity options.
The S403AM-CA supports programming using Microsoft Windows-compatible software that offers direct access to all the drive’s relevant control parameters. The drive has a storage temperature rating of between a maximum of 55 degrees Celsius and a minimum of -25 degrees Celsius at a relative humidity of between 5 percent and 95 percent without condensation. Note that storing the S403AM-CA for more than 12 months requires its capacitors to be re-formed before the drive is commissioned.
