Kollmorgen S400 (SERVOSTAR 400) amplifiers are available as either master modules or axis modules. Note that master modules allow multiple axis modules to be interfaced with it. With a LED-display and a keyboard on their front panel, master modules are easy to program and monitor. Apart from monitoring, a graphical user display helps in timely and precise troubleshooting reducing the time it takes the bring the system back to life after a malfunction. Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR amplifiers smoothly fit into the existing industrial power supply network because they are powered by a voltage of between 115 Volts AC and 400 Volts AC.
The S403A-CA is a digital servo amplifier designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is specially designed to be an axis module. With a height of 245 millimeters, a width of 50 millimeters, and a depth of 225 millimeters, the S403A-CA is DIN rail mountable saving the much needed space on the industrial floor. The amplifier is fully programmable to allow interfacing with different types of industrial applications. For easier monitoring and troubleshooting, the Kollmorgen digital amplifier features two light emitting diodes to indicate when it encounters a fault, a warning has been generated, an axis is ready for operation, or when the amplifier values are being edited by the master module.
The Kollmorgen S403A-CA is supplied with a CANopen connectivity option. This option allows for high speed communication with a maximum transmission speed of 1 MBit per second. The S400 axis module is powered by an AC voltage of between 230 Volts and 400 Volts. The amplifier is capable of operating optimally in an environment with a relative humidity not exceeding 85 percent without condensation and not exceeding an altitude of 1000 meters.
