The SE03200 is a digital servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the S300 Servo Drives series. Designed for precision motion control, this drive interfaces between low-voltage command electronics and three-phase servo motors, providing regulated current and voltage for closed-loop motor control in automated machinery. In production lines, packaging cells, and pick-and-place modules, it delivers the real-time control necessary for accurate speed, torque, and position tasks.
With a 165 VDC bus, the unit can supply 0.55 kVA, while a 325 VDC link raises continuous output to 1.1 kVA, allowing the axis to operate with different DC-link levels. The current loop refreshes every 62.5 µs, enabling tight torque regulation before mechanical disturbances propagate. Encoder channels accept signals up to 3 MHz and are powered by a regulated 5 VDC source that provides stable power to sensitive sensors. During sustained operation at 45 °C, the heat sink releases 37 W into the cabinet, a value that supports enclosure cooling calculations. A protection threshold trips at 430 VDC on the DC bus to prevent overexcitation of the power stage.
Pulse-width modulation switches at 16 kHz, while an internal 32 kHz carrier helps keep acoustic noise low. The rated phase current is 3 A rms, matching the torque requirements of compact frameless or geared servo motors. The velocity loop updates every 250 µs, and the position loop updates every 500 µs, establishing stable nested control bandwidths. Auxiliary electronics draw 1.1 A from the dedicated +8 V rail and 0.37 A from the ±15 V rails, which should be considered when sizing common power supplies in multi-axis systems.
