By rectifying the input, maintaining a controlled DC bus, and producing modulated three-phase outputs, the unit enables precise closed-loop motion that is essential for repeatable industrial processes.
For its control electronics, the drive requires an auxiliary supply of 24 V DC, while the power section accepts single-phase or three-phase lines from 110–230 V. A built-in brake network can absorb up to 50 W during routine deceleration, routing the energy through an internal resistor valued at 66 Ω. If additional kinetic energy is returned by the motor, the device handles a further 80 W of regenerative power to help keep component temperatures and bus voltage in check. Nominal operation draws 6 A RMS and 2.4 kVA from the supply, and a five-second overload window allows heavier loads to start without exceeding thermal limits. Current feedback and velocity loops are closed at the drive, so no external brake chopper or dynamic contactor is needed.

The DC bus rating of 450 VDC allows multiple axes to share energy without risking semiconductor breakdown, and the inverter can supply up to 15 A RMS/phase for rapid acceleration. A carrier frequency of 8 kHz keeps acoustic emissions low while preserving current bandwidth. In addition, the integrated safety input delivers STO (Safe Torque Off), enabling redundant torque removal without external relays. This variant uses the I/O extension card for control integration.
