The S30661-EC is a state-of-the-art servo amplifier designed by highly trained engineers of Kollmorgen to improve the efficiency of industrial processes by carrying out accurate closed-loop control of the speed, position, and general operation of brushless synchronous motors. This servo amplifier is a durable modular device that can maintain a high degree of operational efficiency in different environments including commercial areas, business premises, and even residential areas. The servo amplifier is designed according to the IP20 protection class, however it is still required to be built into electrical components and be used as an integral part of such component. Before the S30661-EC servo amplifier is delivered, it is tested and certified to meet the expected operational standards, the amplifier is also delivered in a packaging that is made-up of recyclable cardboard with inserts. The S30661-EC servo amplifier is required to be installed in a closed control cabinet, in normal operation the cabinet door must be closed and the device must not be touched. Also, the environmental conditions around the servo amplifier during operation must be tested and certified to meet the 3K3 standards as defined in IEC 61800-2. The S30661-EC servo amplifier does not require maintenance operations, opening the amplifier will void the warranty. Only the manufacturer is allows to open up the amplifier. As a standard, the S30661-EC servo amplifier is delivered with mating connectors, printed safety notes, and the required set-up software DRIVE.EXE on CD-ROM. The hybrid motor cable and the motor feedback cables are not part of the standard package of the controller and have to be ordered as a separate accessory. A name plate is attached to the side of the servo amplifier for easy identification upon delivery.

A: The S30661-EC servo amplifier can be stored for as long as possible. However if the amplifier is stored for more than one year, the DC bus link capacitors of the device has to be reformed.
Q: Is it possible to alter the parameters in the set-up software of the S30661-EC servo amplifier?
A: Yes. The paraemetrs on the set-up software can be adapted to the requirements of your machines through the setup software. The parameter alteration is done on the PC, and the effect can be observed on the amplifier immediately.
