The S30361-EI is an AC servo drive produced by Kollmorgen and assigned to the S300 Servo Drives series. Installed in control cabinets, this drive interfaces between the mains supply and a rotary or linear servomotor, converting line voltage to a modulated DC bus and pulse-width-modulated output for accurate motion control. In industrial automation, it executes real-time commands from a host controller, enforces protection limits, and supports deterministic positioning where repeatability and fast cycle times are important.

The power section accepts a single-phase or three-phase mains range of 110 to 230 V, which it rectifies and buffers on a DC link rated to 450 VDC. Within this range, the drive delivers a continuous phase current of 3 A rms and can process up to 1.1 kVA of apparent power, which indicates the motor capacity it can support. To actuate the windings, the output stage switches at 8 kHz, a carrier frequency that helps limit audible noise while providing smooth torque.
