The S30101-NA-024 servo drive is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the S300 Servo Drives series. Installed between the three-phase mains and a matched servo motor, the unit modulates power so that axes in packaging, material handling, or assembly cells follow motion commands with tight speed and torque regulation. Its integrated controller links the drive to higher-level automation equipment over the machine network, closing the loop between command generation and electromechanical execution.
It accepts an input range of 208...480 V and draws up to 1.2 kVA at nominal load. From that supply, the inverter delivers a continuous phase current of 1.5 A rms, with a short-term reserve of 4.5 A rms for acceleration. The IGBT bridge is pulse-width modulated at 8 kHz, producing an output current form factor of 1.01, while an alternate 16 kHz setting reduces audible noise at the expense of current. An onboard CANopen interface streams cyclic process data, and the Safe Torque Off function is available on dedicated terminals. Returned mechanical energy is handled by a 20 W internal chopper, while a separate circuit can source 1.5 A for motor holding brakes.
