By rectifying three-phase mains power into a regulated DC link and modulating it through high-frequency switching, the drive supplies precise phase currents that synchronize motor motion with controller commands.
At a bus voltage of 325 VDC, the drive can deliver a continuous output current of 20 A RMS, and it sustains transient demands of up to 40 A RMS for two seconds to accelerate loads without stalling. Continuous electrical power is rated at 7.2 kVA, while the DC power capability reaches 8.68 kW, supporting medium-frame motors. Torque commands are refreshed every 62.5 µs within the current loop, and these updates are applied through a pulse-width-modulated bridge that operates at 8 kHz.
