Kollmorgen's S21260-SDS is a digital servo drive in the S200 Servo Drives series. The unit interfaces with SynqNet networks through onboard option cards and micro-D connectors, allowing deterministic motion commands to reach connected brushless servomotors. In an automation cell, the drive converts AC line power to a regulated DC bus and modulates phase currents so the motor can follow precise torque, velocity, or position profiles. This operating method supports coordinated axis control in packaging, handling, and other industrial motion systems.

For single-phase installations, the drive can deliver a continuous output of 2500 W, while three-phase wiring raises that capacity to 4000 W. Its power stage supports 12 ARMS of continuous current and can reach 30 ARMS of peak current for short acceleration bursts. The analog current loop closes at 3 kHz, which directly affects torque response and mechanical bandwidth.
