The S20630-SRS is a compact DC-bus servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the S200 Servo Drives series. The unit receives low-voltage power from machine supplies and produces three-phase outputs that regulate current and velocity in brushless motors used on pick-and-place heads, indexing tables, and light-duty gantries. Integrated feedback channels accept SFD, Comcoder, or sine encoders so the drive can close position loops without external converters, making it a practical building block for distributed motion platforms.

The power stage delivers 6 ARMS continuous motor current, and higher peaks are permitted for three seconds. When supplied from a 75 VDC bus, the amplifier provides 500 W of output while a protective trip is issued if the internal link rises to 91 VDC. The current loop can respond up to 5 kHz for precise torque modulation. The velocity regulator reaches a bandwidth of 800 Hz, aided by an update period of 0.8 µs and an output ripple switching frequency of 31.2 kHz that minimizes audible noise. The control electronics use a continuous input rating of 90 VDC. Height is limited to 152.4 mm so multiple drives can be stacked within shallow enclosures, and the motor shaft can receive 250 W of mechanical power at 3000 rpm and 40 °C ambient.

A bus surge of 25.5 A can be sourced for short acceleration bursts, and the aluminum chassis is only 100.8 mm deep so airflow across adjacent cards is not blocked. Overall mass with option hardware remains 0.50 kg, easing DIN-rail mounting next to I/O blocks. No additional electrical option board is fitted, but SynqNet, CAN, and EnDat interface cards can be field-installed; each communicates through a single RJ-45 port that aligns with the standard front panel cutout. Width of 48.3 mm allows six axes to fit in a 300 mm cabinet bay, and the enclosure is shipped with SFD/Hall support enabled by default.
