The S20630-SDS is a compact digital servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the S200 Servo Drives series. It manages brushless motor phases from a low-voltage DC bus and supplies closed-loop torque, velocity, and position control to axes found in packaging, electronics assembly, and material-handling equipment. By integrating fieldbus connectivity and signal conditioning inside a slim housing, the unit forms the primary power interface between higher-level motion controllers and the mechanical load in decentralized automation panels.

With a 75 VDC supply, the drive outputs 500 W continuously and can reach 1500 W for up to 3.0 seconds during the minimum peak window. Its power stage supplies 6 ARMS of continuous phase current and tolerates 18 ARMS during rapid acceleration. Protection circuitry trips at 91 VDC bus overvoltage and at 17 VDC undervoltage to safeguard internal components. The output bridge supports motor inductances from 0.2 mH to 15 mH, allowing both low-impedance and high-inductance windings. Dynamic performance is enhanced by a fast current loop, and velocity refinement becomes available after a SynqNet option card establishes coordinated multi-axis control.

The base build has no electrical option because all I/O resides on modular cards.
