The S20360-SRS is a Kollmorgen servo drive from the S200 Servo Drives series. It regulates power to brushless servomotors in automated assembly stations, conveyors, and light material-handling axes, translating motion commands from a controller into precisely metered phase currents. Within an automation cell, the unit serves as the intermediary between the factory mains and the motor windings, enforcing torque and speed commands so positioning accuracy and cycle repeatability are maintained. This operating role makes it suitable for machinery that depends on stable response during frequent starts, stops, and short positioning moves.

Electrically, the drive accepts a 120/240 VAC input and can source 3 ARMS continuous or 9 ARMS peak per phase for bursts lasting 3.0 s, allowing rapid acceleration before thermal limiting occurs. The current loop closes at 3 kHz, while the velocity regulator reaches 800 Hz, giving a fast response to motion commands. A 10 W control-power adder sustains logic supplies during bus discharge, and no additional electrical option is fitted. Motor compatibility spans inductances from 2.5 mH to 150 mH. Feedback devices are handled through modular I/O. Every unit supports SFD and Hall signals, a SynqNet card with standard RJ-45 connectors carries EnDat 2.1 and sine encoder data, and a separate CAN card links SFD or Comcoder transducers.

The power stage provides 1100 W of continuous output and up to 3000 VA of apparent power on a 240 V three-phase bus. Pulse-width switching occurs at 20 kHz, pushing ripple beyond audible frequencies and matching Kollmorgen guidelines for low-noise machine environments. These capabilities reside in a compact package that is 54.8 mm wide, 175 mm high, and 131.6 mm deep, with a mass of 0.84 kg. Thermal dissipation is assisted by the aluminum chassis, and the slim profile leaves clearance for adjacent drives on dense DIN rail sections.
