Product Description:
The S20350-CNS is a single-axis servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen within the S200 Servo Drives series. It governs brushless servomotors in positioning machinery, matching commanded motion profiles with precise current and velocity regulation. Designed for compact control panels, the drive performs local loop processing while higher-level motion is supervised across the fieldbus. By converting single-phase AC into controlled output for the motor, it provides accurate torque, speed, and position control in packaging equipment, electronics assembly systems, and other industrial automation tasks.
The power stage supplies a continuous current of 3 ARMS and a peak current of 9 ARMS to the motor, and it operates from 120 VAC in doubler mode or 240 VAC single-phase mains input. Motion commands are carried over the CANopen bus, while the internal control loops respond quickly for stable axis performance. The current loop reaches 3 kHz bandwidth, and the velocity loop reaches 400 Hz. A velocity-loop update period of 0.8 µs and a motor electrical frequency limit of 600 Hz support responsive position control and real-time status exchange on the network.
The drive accepts SFD or Hall signals on all units and can interpolate analog sine encoders through a SynqNet option card. EnDat 2.1 absolute encoders are also supported, and feedback resolution reaches 24-bit for accurate position reporting. The housing remains compact, with a width of 54.8 mm, a depth of 131.6 mm, and a height of 175.0 mm. Its enclosure mass is 0.77 kg, which supports DIN-rail or panel installation in tight spaces. With no additional electrical options fitted, the internal control algorithms support commanded shaft speeds up to 25,000 rpm, and an auxiliary CAN option card can be used for SFD/Comcoder cabling when required.
